WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Public Library will host a bilingual information session this month to help guide immigrants through the U.S. naturalization process.
The Naturalization 101 session, scheduled for November 18 at 5:30 p.m., will be conducted by Hand in Hand Immigration Services in either a bilingual format or Spanish, depending on attendee preferences. Library staff will complement the presentation with information about related resources and services available through the library system.
"This program aligns with NCW Libraries strategic direction of meeting critical community needs," said Claudia Bovee, NCW Libraries Latino Services Manager. "Local and regional partnerships with key community organizations like Hand in Hand allow us to provide relevant services, programs, and resources to our communities. Hand in Hand has been instrumental in helping us offer information sessions and citizenship classes at different libraries, and we are grateful for their support."
The initiative represents a collaboration between two organizations with complementary missions. Hand in Hand Immigration Services focuses on assisting, motivating, and empowering immigrants and their families in their pursuit of U.S. citizenship. Meanwhile, NCW Libraries works to connect North Central Washington residents with resources and opportunities that promote individual growth and community development.
The event is part of NCW Libraries' broader Latino Services program, which provides specialized resources and programming for the region's Spanish-speaking community. Additional information about the program and future events can be found on the library's Latino Services webpage and Facebook page.
