Piatigorsky Foundation concert set for Oct. 6 at Wenatchee Valley College

WENATCHEE — The Piatigorsky Foundation will present a free fall concert featuring violinist Qing Li and pianist Min Young Park on Oct. 6 at Wenatchee Valley College.

The concert is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at The Grove Recital Hall in the college's Music and Arts Center. A wine reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the WVC Foundation.

Li is principal second violinist for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and guest principal second violinist for the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. She also serves as a professor of violin at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.

Park has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and the Royal Irish Academy of Music. She studied at Seoul National University and The Juilliard School and is a faculty member at Peabody Preparatory.

"It is a joy to feature world-class musicians at a world-class recital hall like The Grove," WVC Foundation Executive Director Clint Strand said. "This unforgettable evening is made possible by the generosity of the Woods family, and we couldn't be more grateful."

The Woods family is providing support for the concert, according to the foundation.

The Piatigorsky Foundation presents classical music performances with professional musicians in communities across the country.
