WENATCHEE — Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort will open for the 2024-25 winter season on Saturday, November 23, marking its 12th pre-Thanksgiving opening in 13 years.
The resort will operate Chair 1 and The Wenatchee Express (Chair 2) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 23 and 24, with additional terrain opening as conditions permit.
"We are beyond excited to welcome everyone back to Mission Ridge for another incredible season," said Tony Hickok, Chief Marketing Officer at Mission Ridge. "Thanks to early November snowfall and the relentless work of our snowmaking team, we're set to provide the community with the opportunity to ski and ride over the final two weekends of November, which is something we always strive for."
The resort's snowmaking operations played a crucial role in achieving the early opening date despite variable conditions, according to mountain officials.
"The teams have put in an outstanding effort, particularly in making the most out of hit-or-miss snowmaking windows this month," said Chief Mountain Officer Ethan Howell. "It's a testament to the dedication of our staff across the mountain that we're able to open on or before Thanksgiving so consistently."
All resort facilities will be operational, including the Chair 5 Pub, Ka-Wham Cafe, and Midway Lodge, offering early-season dining options.
The resort will continue its Firefighter and Emergency Personnel Appreciation program through December 15, providing free access to firefighters, EMTs, and law enforcement professionals, including 2024 seasonal personnel.
Weather forecasts for opening day predict a 40% chance of snow with mostly cloudy skies and a high temperature near 22 degrees Fahrenheit.
