LEAVENWORTH — The Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce has launched a new mobile guide to help visitors find where to eat and shop, find out what’s open and what’s happening, and figure out how to get around.
According to the Chamber, “Leavenworth Today” opens in a browser and operates like an app, with the option to save it to a phone home screen. The platform shows live business hours to help visitors quickly see what’s open, soon to be open, or closing. The member directory with one-tap directions, the Chamber’s calendar events and details, and parking and maps are also in the guide.
Visitors can bookmark the events and get a countdown reminder on the home screen. They can also save businesses and activities to create their own trip shortlist. Once saved to a phone, the key information stays available when cell service is overloaded, the Chamber says.
When a business submits an event to the Chamber calendar, it will automatically appear in their business listing as well as in “What’s On.” Promotions and specials will also appear directly in the listing with details and dates, including recurring promotions, said the Chamber.
Leavenworth Today will turn into a festival guide for Oktoberfest beginning Sept. 28. The Oktoberfest hub will include live stage schedules displaying current and queued up performances, full schedules by stage, performer profiles, food and drink locations, shuttle routes and stops, festival maps, tickets and Know Before You Go information.
Visitors will be able to bookmark performances and create their own lineup. Food and beverage listings will correspond with the letters and numbers on festival maps, with the ability for visitors to quickly find options such as gluten-free, non-alcoholic, cider and wine.
Leavenworth Today can be viewed at www.leavenworth.org/today.
