CHELAN COUNTY – Law enforcement is asking for public cooperation and support as the search continues for 32-year-old Travis Decker, who is suspected of murdering his three daughters.
According to a June 5 update from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, search teams have written and executed search warrants around the area and on electronic devices belonging to Decker, gathering new information and more leads. Law enforcement continues to patrol “at all hours, in all spaces throughout this region.”
Chelan County Sheriff’s Office is asking citizens who own cabins or reside in remote areas of Chelan, Kittitas, King, Snohomish, and Okanagan Counties to lock all of their doors, including sheds or outbuildings, leave window blinds open, and keeping outside lights on.
The U.S. Forest Service announced the closure of the Icicle Creek area Thursday morning as law enforcement continues to search the area. A full list of affected campgrounds and trailheads can be found here.
Decker is wanted on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree kidnapping in the deaths of his daughters — Paityn Decker, 9; Evelyn Decker, 8; and Olivia Decker, 5.
The bodies of the girls were discovered Monday in a remote area near Icicle Road outside Leavenworth, days after they were last seen with their father on May 30 during a scheduled visitation. Decker remains at large, and authorities said he should be considered dangerous.
A reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for information that leads directly to his arrest. He is described as a white male, 5-foot-8, 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
If you see, or believe you have seen Decker, call 911 immediately. Do not attempt to contact or approach him. Authorities say Decker may be armed and is considered dangerous.
