WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation will host its fifth annual Food Truck Knight on Sept. 18, bringing food vendors, live music and other activities to the college's Wenatchee campus.

The free event is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. around the campus fountain at Wenatchee Valley College, 1300 Fifth St. Numerica Credit Union is the presenting sponsor.

Entertainment will include live music from Wenatchee High School Mariachi and Umami Dearest. The event also will feature a beer garden and raffle.

Numerica Credit Union will provide free ice cream vouchers to the first 150 children age 12 and younger who visit its booth.

Net proceeds from Food Truck Knight will support WVC Foundation scholarships, emergency student assistance and campus programs, according to the foundation.

“We’re proud to return as the presenting sponsor of Wenatchee Food Truck Knight and support an event that brings our community together while making a meaningful difference for local students,” said Jessica Clay, Senior Manager of Community Impact and Communications at Numerica Credit Union. “We love that proceeds from the event help fund Wenatchee Valley College Foundation scholarships, emergency student assistance, and campus programs, helping students overcome barriers and pursue their educational goals. At Numerica, we believe investing in education is an investment in the future of our community.”

The WVC Foundation was incorporated in 1971 and supports access to education and student programs through philanthropy.

"This is one of our favorite events of the year - food and fun, all for a fantastic cause," said WVC Foundation executive director Clint Strand. “We are so looking forward to welcoming our students back to campus along with continuing a signature event for our entire community to enjoy.”
