The Wenatchee AppleSox battled back from an early five-run deficit but came up short in a 10-7 loss to the Edmonton Riverhawks on Saturday night.
After trailing 7-2, the AppleSox scored five unanswered runs, highlighted by a two-run single from Nikko Paoletto that tied the game in the sixth inning. Edmonton regained the lead in the seventh and added two insurance runs in the eighth before closing out the victory.
Paoletto led Wenatchee at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. The loss evened the series at one game apiece.
