WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee AppleSox have added two junior college position players to their 2026 roster, bringing offensive production and summer league experience to the club.

Outfielder Sam Moore of Lassen College and catcher Joseph Coupland of Chabot College are both set to join Wenatchee this summer as the AppleSox continue to build their lineup for the West Coast League season.

Moore, a freshman from Spokane, completed a productive first collegiate season at Lassen College in California.

The switch-hitting outfielder batted .347 with a 1.076 OPS, 11 doubles, 32 RBIs and five home runs in 33 games. Defensively, Moore did not commit an error and posted a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Prior to arriving in Wenatchee, Moore gained West Coast League experience with the Yakima Valley Pippins during the summer of 2025. In 15 games, he batted .278 with 15 hits, two doubles and one home run.

The Mead High School graduate is expected to provide versatility at the plate and in the outfield as he prepares for his sophomore season at Lassen.

Coupland enters the summer following a breakout season at Chabot College.

After not appearing during his first collegiate season, the sophomore catcher made an immediate impact in 2026. He batted .307 with a .971 OPS, collecting 43 hits, 11 doubles, 32 RBIs and eight home runs in 35 games.

Behind the plate, Coupland posted a .971 fielding percentage while committing three errors in 105 total chances.

The California native also brings previous summer league experience. He appeared in 23 games for the Walnut Creek Crawdads of the California Collegiate League, hitting three home runs and driving in eight runs.

Coupland's power production stood out during his first collegiate season, leading to one of the most productive offensive campaigns among Wenatchee's incoming position players.

The additions of Moore and Coupland provide the AppleSox with two experienced bats as the club continues its 2026 West Coast League season.

The AppleSox opened the season May 29 on the road against the Edmonton RiverHawks. Wenatchee's home opener is scheduled for June 5 against the Kamloops NorthPaws at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.
