Posted

WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center announced the launch of a new historic wine walk series that will combine local viticulture with the region's architectural heritage.

The guided tours, scheduled for April 12, June 28, and July 19, will lead participants through downtown Wenatchee while highlighting the area's wine-making history and offering tastings at several local establishments.

Each four-hour Saturday afternoon tour begins at the museum with a presentation on early Wenatchee Valley wine history, including stories about pioneers such as Dutch John Galler. Participants will then proceed along Wenatchee Avenue, where guides will discuss significant historical structures including the Cascadian Hotel and Wenatchee Hotel Buildings.

The walking tour includes stops at Watermill Winery, Norwood Wine Bar, Horan Estates Winery, and Watercore Cider, which will provide complementary refreshments.

The museum invites guests to explore Wenatchee's rich heritage while sampling the distinct flavors and aromas of the region.

Museum officials note that pre-registration is required due to limited availability. Tickets are priced at $75 for museum members and $95 for non-members, with all wine, food, and educational components included in the registration fee.

According to tour information, participants will begin at the museum before walking approximately three blocks north to Horan Estates winery. The tour will progress southward, concluding at Norwood.

The museum recommends that attendees bring a bag for bottles, a journal, and comfortable walking shoes. While a modest gratuity for servers is included in the registration fee, additional tipping is welcomed.

The Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with support from the cities of Wenatchee and East Wenatchee. Its stated mission is to "gather, engage, and educate people to celebrate and preserve the history, arts, sciences, and rich diversity of our region."
