Wild trade draft picks with Tri-City

WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Wild announced Thursday they have completed a draft-pick trade with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League.

The teams will swap first-round picks in the 2026 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.

As part of the deal, Wenatchee will receive Tri-City’s first-round selection in the 2027 Import Draft, while Tri-City will receive Wenatchee’s second-round pick in that draft.

The Wild said the organization expects all three of its import players from the 2025-26 season to return for 2026-27 and does not expect to use its allotted selections in the Import Draft.
