WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Bighorns basketball team announced the start of their 2025 training camp, with fifteen players currently participating and additional arrivals expected next week. The team will finalize its roster with 12 active players and two practice squad positions.

The organization will host a public event this Sunday, February 23, at Wenatchee Valley College beginning at 2:00 p.m. The event will feature photo opportunities with uniformed players, followed by a team scrimmage and dunk contest. The program will conclude with an interactive skills session open to community members of all ages and abilities.

Head Coach Matt Riley and Head of Basketball Operations Chris Cromartie led the team's recruitment efforts during the offseason, attending regional combines in Atlanta, New Orleans, Charlotte, and Las Vegas.

"Chris and Mathew have done an excellent job in defining the talent and character of each player under contract and those invited to training camp," team owner Shawn Cooprider said. "They have traveled to regional combines in Atlanta, New Orleans, Charlotte, and Las Vegas to build the nucleus of what we believe to be a team that will make our program and community proud."

The roster features several returning players, including Tremont Robinson-White, who earned All-TBL West honors last season while averaging 26.4 points per game. Robinson-White, who signed with the team in July, expressed his commitment to the organization: "I feel like we have unfinished business. I believe in the organization, my teammates, and our fans that have been with us."

Radarious "Pig" Washington, who finished second in team scoring with 16.4 points per game and led in rebounds during his professional debut season, also returns. "It was a great first year experience with the Bighorns Family," Washington said upon his July signing. "I'm looking forward to bringing back that pig mentality, having fun, being a leader, and playing for the community. I got shown a lot of love out there."

The training camp roster includes players from diverse collegiate backgrounds, ranging from NCAA Division I to smaller programs. Notable additions include 6'10" center Chandler Oriakhi from Evangel University and former East Carolina University guard Tremont Robinson-White.

The Bighorns will begin their 2025 TBL season on March 1 with a home opener against Willamette Valley at Wenatchee Valley College. The regular season schedule runs through May, with playoffs beginning May 27.

Individual game tickets and season tickets are currently available for purchase through the team's website at wenatcheebighorns.com.
