CHELAN — The NCW Senior Basketball Game will be held Sunday, March 15 at Chelan High School, featuring senior boys and girls players selected from District 5 leagues.
The girls game is scheduled for 2 p.m., followed by the boys game at 4 p.m. Admission gates open at 1:30 p.m.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Children age 10 and younger will be admitted free. League passes will not be accepted.
The event is not sanctioned by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association. Proceeds from the games will support co-ed youth basketball programs in the Chelan Valley.
Games will consist of four 10-minute quarters.
Senior girls scheduled to participate include Addison Henton and Wrandie Bowen of Pateros; Chloe Medina and Estrella Renteria of Quincy; Hanna Nelson of Waterville; Liv Johnson, Addy Burns and Addi Reffett of Moses Lake; Brooke Dana of Soap Lake; Camryn Ashworth of Okanogan; Stevie Simmons of Pateros; Noelia Johnson of Eastmont; Helaina Remsberg of Liberty Bell; Finley Sackman and Kitchen Bagby of Omak; and Elisa Garcia of Bridgeport.
Senior boys scheduled to participate include Pierce Bierlink of Quincy; Remington Paz and Bodie Thomson of Liberty Bell; Tanner Tompkins and Isaiah Spangler of Tonasket; Luca Faletto of Chelan; Connor Cass and Ryder Wray of Wenatchee; Lucas Carlton, Hyrum Lyles and Brayden Meyer of Okanogan; Aidan De Dios of Bridgeport; Pedro Aguilar of Omak; Brady Hendrick of Ephrata; Johnny Ferguson, James Robertson and Dennis Gulenko of MLCA-CC; and Sebastian Sanchez of Entiat.
Coaches for the event include Cody Bench of Cascade and Ed Ashworth of Okanogan for the girls teams, and Geoff Pearson of Omak and Dan Cavadini of Bridgeport for the boys teams.
