Hospital Guild Y raffle raises $5,300 for EMT equipment

CHELAN — Hospital Guild Y raised approximately $5,300 through a summer raffle and donations to purchase exercise equipment for the new Emergency Medical Technician building at Lake Chelan Health Hospital.

The fundraiser brought in $5,000 from raffle ticket sales and about $300 in donations from visitors and residents attending local farmers markets in July, August and September. Donated raffle prizes were valued at more than $5,000.

Jeannette Wolfe of Silverdale won the grand prize, a one-week stay at Lake Chelan Shores. Gift basket winners were Jackie Cagle, Cheryl Trentman and Dean Adams of Manson; Mary Hodge of Chelan; and Andrew Catkins of Stanwood.

Local businesses that contributed prizes included Culinary Apple, Bear Foods, The Dock Company, The French Quail, Slidewaters, Lush Life, Van Hart, La Brisa, Lake Chelan Winery & BBQ and Chelan Valley Farms.
