WENATCHEE — The Chelan-Douglas Land Trust (CDLT) is pleased to announce Hanne Beener as its new Executive Director, effective June 30. A respected conservation leader in North Central Washington, Beener brings extensive experience to the role.
Having dedicated 10 years to CDLT, most recently as Trails Program Manager, Beener has been instrumental in developing numerous community trails and access projects. She also served as Policy & Planning Manager at Wenatchee non-profit TREAD, focusing on sustainable recreation, stewardship, and land use policy. More than a decade of local conservation experience positions her well for her new leadership role.
“I am delighted to be rejoining the Land Trust in this new role,” said Beener. “The organization is woven into the fabric of our region, and I think its success has always been in doing work that intersects with a wide range of community values. I am proud to join the staff and board in building on the strong foundation of conservation, restoration, and public access work that the Land Trust does so well.”
Beener is recognized for her thoughtful leadership, comprehensive local understanding, and successful history of collaboration across various sectors.
The Board of Directors, aided by Clover Search Works, conducted a nationwide search for the position. Beener's exceptional blend of organizational knowledge, strategic insight, and unwavering dedication to CDLT's mission led to her selection.
“We are thrilled to welcome Hanne back to CDLT,” said the Board in a statement. “Her integrity, experience, and community-centered leadership make her the ideal person to guide the Land Trust into its next chapter.”
A community welcome event will be held later this summer, with details to be announced soon.
