Charles “Chuck” Jacob Reynolds was born to Jacob Guy and Mertie Debbie Elizabeth Beckham Reynolds on January 21, 1932, in Sterling, Colorado, where he was the 5th of 7 children. When Chuck was 12 years old, they moved to Wapato, where they purchased a dairy farm.  Growing up there, he helped the family with milking cows and managing the farm.  It was during this time in his life he became proficient riding his horse named Dot while using his bullwhip to kill rattlesnakes. He took those many snakes home to his Mom - as a gift – as the stories go. He graduated from Wapato High School in 1950.

Chuck met Patricia Luffman in June of 1952, and they married on December 30, 1952.  Their marriage lasted an amazing 63 years before his beloved wife, Pat, passed away in September 2015. They had five children: Debbie, Rick, Doug, Sandy and Mike and were blessed with 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

As an adult, he began his career with Safeway and was transferred to Leavenworth in 1961, where they remained until his death. Chuck had many abilities and skills throughout his career, including working with Jewel Satterfield Construction, and as a mechanic for GMC auto, where he started with Bud Westby and “retired” as Shop Foreman for Gangster Motors. Seeking to keep busy, he took a job as a gas attendant, until he truly retired at 83 and moved to Mountain Meadows Assisted Living in Leavenworth, where he and Pat received excellent care from loving staff until their passings.

His Greatest purpose and mission in life - besides being an exceptional husband, father and grandfather - was his Service to God. Chuck was a member of The Community of Christ Church and served as Pastor for many years as an Evangelist for the world Church.

Chuck always saw the good in all and always showed love and acceptance to all he met.  Many commented how he always made them feel special and loved when around him.

He is survived by his Daughter Debbie Noel (Alan) and their daughter Caryn Dieker; Son Rick (Deanna), and their sons Robert (Melanie) and Jeff (Jessica);
Son Doug (Kathy) and their daughter Julie; Daughter Sandy Hawkes and her sons Mike, Ryan (Chankoda), Kyle(Tina), and their daughter Jenna (Michael).  Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Pat; his parents; his brothers, Wayne, Leon, Dale; his sister, Neva, and son-in-law, Jim Hawkes.

One of his greatest joys later in life was his 11 great-grandchildren, Anthony and Camryn Trick; Gabby, Mallorie, and Callie Reynolds; Avery and Brooklyn Reynolds; Alyssa Reynolds; Kaleb Reynolds; Lucas Hogan; and newest arrival, Iris Reynolds.

A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m. at the Community of Christ Church in East Wenatchee, WA.
