CASHMERE — Musicians Caleb Klauder and Reeb Willms will perform a concert of country roots and traditional music at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Cashmere Community Church.
Presented by Cashmere Community Concerts, the performance will feature original songs and tunes alongside selections from traditional and country music repertoires.
Klauder, who plays mandolin and guitar and sings, and Willms, who plays guitar and sings, are both originally from Washington state. Klauder is from the coastal islands, while Willms is from the high desert plateau.
The duo is known for its vocal harmonies and acoustic instrumentation. Klauder's mandolin playing complements Willms' guitar work as the two perform music rooted in traditional country and old-time styles.
Both musicians are established figures in the Pacific Northwest's old-time and country music scene. Klauder is a founding member of the Foghorn Stringband, and the two perform with the Caleb Klauder Reeb Willms Country Band.
The concert is part of Cashmere Community Concerts' effort to provide live, affordable entertainment to the Wenatchee Valley. The nonprofit organization presents performances in an alcohol-free environment.
Admission is $5 per person at the door to help cover concert expenses. The musicians will be paid through a hat pass, with a suggested donation of $8 to $15 per person. Refreshments will be provided, and seating will be available.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The concert will take place at Cashmere Community Church, 213 S. Division St.
