Autumn Marie Evans (Nolen)

Posted

Autumn Marie Evans (Nolen), aged 72, passed away peacefully at home in Chelan, WA, on Sunday, January 5, 2025.  She was surrounded by her loved ones, including her dogs, Charlie Sue and Frankie May.

Autumn was born in Pullman, WA, in 1952, to parents Jerry and Juanita Nolen. Growing up as the second of 5 children, she loved skiing, ballet, and making mischief with her siblings in her Dad’s orchard.  Autumn attended Eastmont public schools and went on to graduate from Washington State University with a degree in history, in 1975.

Throughout her life, she was never one to shy away from doling out advice.  To her credit, she made a career of it - working as a teacher for over 20 years, retiring in 2017 from Pateros Elementary School.  She was a dedicated mother, grammy, wife, teacher, and friend.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, guiding her kids and grandkids through the various stages of life, and most of all, spending an afternoon on the water and in the sun with family by her side.

Autumn was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Nick Nolen. She is survived by her husband, Tim Evans; son and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Raye Evans; daughter and son-in-law, Kyla Evans and Noah Johnson; grandchildren: Colt (Kaylin), Cash (Maggie), and Bailey; and her beloved dogs. There are many others whose lives she touched along
the way.

The family will be holding a memorial service at Precht Rose Chapel in Chelan, WA, on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Lake Chelan Community Center.
