LEAVENWORTH – Former Cascade School District (CSD) Board member Zachary Miller is returning to his position after resigning in January 2024 for family reasons.
Miller previously served as Director District #3 representative, covering the Chumstick Highway area, Lake Wenatchee, and Plain. The board began searching for a replacement immediately after his resignation, but the seat remained vacant. During the Feb. 24 meeting, CSD Superintendent Tracey Edou announced that Miller was willing to return to his former seat.
“I'm excited to recommend that we bring back our good friend Zachary Miller,” said Edou.
The board unanimously approved Miller’s reappointment, and he will be sworn in on March 10.
“Best news ever,” said CSD Board member Cyndi Garza.
Miller was first appointed to the board in October 2019 after Carrie Sorensen resigned from the Director District #3 seat. He was later elected to a four-year term in 2021, which runs through November 2025.
