WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Valley YMCA has received a transformative $750,000 gift from the Foundation of Caring Fund, established in principle by the Carl & Betty Campbell family. This significant donation supports the Y’s capital campaign, "Building What Matters." That campaign has been integral in finishing upcoming phases of construction of the new YMCA facility just east of the old PUD campus on Fifth Street.

Inspired by the enduring values of Carl and Betty Campbell, the Foundation of Caring Fund is intended to embody a legacy of compassion, service, and community investment. The Campbells' belief in fostering safe, inclusive, and enriching environments for all perfectly aligns with the YMCA’s mission to strengthen community foundations through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Dorry Foster, CEO of the Wenatchee Valley YMCA, expressed profound gratitude, saying “This incredible gift from the Foundation of Caring and the Campbell family is a powerful statement of belief in our vision for the future. It will help us create a facility that meets the evolving needs of our community and continues to offer life-changing programs for generations to come.”

The "Building What Matters" campaign aims to fund new facility construction, thereby increasing capacity, accessibility, and overall impact. These crucial developments will ensure the Y remains a vital cornerstone of health, connection, and opportunity for families across the Wenatchee Valley.

The YMCA encourages others to join the Campbell family in supporting this essential effort, investing in our shared future.
