WENATCHEE — Wenatchee Valley College Knights Baseball will host three youth baseball camps this fall for players ages 7 to 14, offering skill development and community engagement opportunities at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.
The first event, the Classic Youth Camp, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 13, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. The camp will focus on skill building, game understanding and fostering a continued love of the sport. The cost is $50.
On Friday, Sept. 26, the team will hold “Date Knight at the Park,” beginning with a youth baseball camp from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by a movie on the stadium’s big screen. Parents can purchase food from a truck on site, with beer and cider available for adults. The $50 registration covers both the camp and the movie; food and beverages are sold separately.
A seven-week hitting and pitching camp will also run in September and October. Pitching sessions begin Tuesday, Sept. 16, and meet weekly from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Hitting sessions begin Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the same time. Participants can register for one or both programs at $175 each or $300 for both.
“WVC baseball youth camps are a great chance to not only raise funding for WVC but also engage the community,” said Aaron Vaughn, Knights baseball coach. “It is a huge blast for the kids in the area to intermix with our players and also a big bonus for our players to have a chance to give back to the community in a fun way.”
Vaughn said about 95 people participated in the two youth camps offered in 2024.
Space is limited. Registration is available at https://forms.gle/3C9snNVvYMSXyuax9.
