WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation will host its fourth annual Food Truck Knight on Friday, Sept. 19, bringing food, music and community activities to the WVC campus.
The event will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. around the campus fountain at 1300 Fifth St. in Wenatchee. Presented by Numerica Credit Union, Food Truck Knight will feature a lineup of food trucks, live entertainment, games, and family-friendly activities. Admission is free.
“Numerica is excited to participate in Food Truck Knight and support the exceptional efforts of the WVC Foundation,” said Jessica Clay, senior manager of community impact and communications at Numerica Credit Union. “The Foundation’s dedication to providing educational opportunities and fostering student success is truly inspiring, and we are proud to support their mission in partnership with our community.”
The schedule includes live music performances by Wenatchee High School Mariachi and Esencia Privada. A dunk tank featuring local celebrities, a raffle, and a beer garden are also planned. Numerica Credit Union will provide free ice cream vouchers to the first 150 children age 12 and under who stop by its booth.
Net proceeds from the event will support the WVC Foundation’s mission of expanding access to education and investing in student success through philanthropy.
“We’re excited to welcome the community back to the WVC campus to enjoy local food trucks and more while supporting WVC students,” said WVC Foundation development director Lupe Brito. “This event is a foundation fundraiser that supports our mission and couldn’t be possible without the generous support of our sponsors.”
The WVC Foundation was founded in 1971 and works to provide scholarships, programs and resources that promote educational opportunity. More information about Food Truck Knight is available at https://bit.ly/m/FTK.
