WENATCHEE — On July 14, the WSU Master Gardeners will be holding a plant clinic at the Wenatchee Public Library. Their diagnosis team will be available to help identify problems with plants or pests and recommend solutions to help manage them in your garden.
The Chelan/Douglas Master Gardener Program, a Washington State University (WSU) initiative, aims to educate central Washington gardeners. Its focus is on best gardening practices and healthy living through gardening, while also assisting WSU Extension in promoting environmentally responsible gardening.
Chelan/Douglas Master Gardeners are WSU-trained community volunteers. They serve the entire Chelan & Douglas County area, with the program centered in the Wenatchee Valley. Their expertise includes botany, weed identification, soils, lawn care, pruning, pesticides and insect management, plant pathology, plant problem diagnosis, and sustainable gardening practices.
Examples of their work can be found all over the valley, most recently in the new play area and splash pad section of Riverfront Park along Worthen Street and Riverside Drive.
The clinic lasts from 1–4 p.m. Bring a sample, photos, and as much information as you can with you to your visit.
