WENATCHEE - The Wenatchee Confluence Rotary Club is exploring the launch of a new evening satellite club to expand its community service presence in the region. The first "Confluence Rotary at Night" gathering will take place Tuesday, January 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Ground Control 10 N. Wenatchee Ave.
The evening program will provide increased accessibility to Rotary membership for professionals and young adults who cannot attend traditional daytime meetings. The satellite club, which would meet twice monthly in the evenings, will be developed under the sponsorship of the Wenatchee Confluence Rotary Club with the potential to become an independent club in the future.
Participants will learn about Rotary International and its mission of Service Above Self, connect with like-minded individuals, and explore opportunities for community service projects.
The Wenatchee Confluence Rotary Club, part of Rotary International's global network of 1.4 million members, focuses on creating lasting change through community service. The organization describes itself as "a dynamic group of individuals committed to making a positive impact on our community" while promoting ethical standards and engaging in both local and global service projects.
To manage attendance and catering, the organizers are requesting advance registration through Eventbrite.
Interested parties can find additional information about the organization through their website at wenatcheeconfluencerotary.com or register for the event at bit.ly/RotaryAfterHours.
