WENATCHEE — The North Central Education Foundation has appointed two new board members, Beverly Seim of Ephrata and Alex Siefe of Wenatchee.
Seim joined the board in March 2024 and Siefe in October 2024.
Seim worked in public education for 34 years. She taught elementary resource room in Othello, followed by four years teaching junior high resource room in Moses Lake. She completed her career with the Ephrata School District, teaching grades four through eight, ending as a sixth-grade science and math teacher.
Siefe is an instructor at SkillSource. She holds education degrees from Whitworth University in Spokane and previously lived in Amsterdam before moving to Wenatchee. Her teaching background includes online, hybrid, and in-person instruction across multiple subjects, working with middle and high school students.
"I joined NCEF so that I can help empower educators to create a positive lasting impact on future generations," Siefe said. "I believe that the work NCEF is doing here in Central Washington is vital for brightening Washington's future by investing in educators' creativity and ingenuity. Every student deserves the opportunity to thrive, so when an educator decides to go above and beyond with that goal in mind, NCEF provides the resources towards realizing that dream."
