WENATCHEE — Downtown Wenatchee’s annual Summer Sidewalk Sale is coming back Aug 1 and 2, from noon–6 p.m. each day. The first day of the sale coincides with the Downtown Association’s monthly First Friday, an event that always draws a crowd downtown, and this month, stores along Wenatchee Avenue get to take advantage of that extra foot traffic.
Every summer, downtown businesses bring all of their best deals outside onto the sidewalk for some fun, family-friendly shopping. Enjoy seasonal sales, sidewalk displays, and the charm of strolling through downtown while supporting your favorite local shops.
When it’s time to take a break, you can stop in for a sip or a bite at any of downtown’s vast array of different restaurants, tasting rooms or even just grab a hot dog and a cherry lemon sour at the corner of First and Wenatchee Avenue.
Visit a store you haven’t been to in a while and see what’s new. Find out what businesses have opened since the last time you walked downtown. You can even just enjoy a little jaunt under the shade of the Avenue’s awnings and say hi to friends who came out for First Friday.
August is around the corner. Plan to take a trip downtown to start your month off right with the Summer Sidewalk Sale and support local businesses.
