Senior grads tradition takes to the street in Cashmere with police, fire escorts

Posted

CASHMERE — On Wednesday, June 4, downtown Cashmere was lined with trucks, ATVs, boats, emergency vehicles and even electric scooters as Cashmere High School’s graduating class of 2025 made their way down the road in the traditional “parade” they do every year.

Parents and friends stood on the sides of Cottage Ave and waved as the kids they were waiting for went by. Sirens from the fire trucks and a police cruiser that accompanied them sounded during the entire route.

Many of the seniors wore clothing that indicated what colleges and universities they were obviously planning to attend, or even what careers they’d be pursuing, but all looked like they were more than ready to go out and explore.
