Registration opens for Cycle Chelan as June 20 ride approaches

Posted

CHELAN — Registration is gaining momentum for the 2026 Cycle Chelan ride as cyclists from across the Pacific Northwest begin signing up for the June 20 event.

Hosted by the Lake Chelan Rotary Club, Cycle Chelan offers riders of all experience levels the chance to explore the scenic Lake Chelan Valley through four routes that showcase lake views, vineyard-lined roads and small-town communities.

Among the highlights this year is the return of the Signature Challenge 100, a 100-mile century ride designed for experienced cyclists. The course includes challenging climbs, such as the ascent of McNeil Canyon, along with sweeping views of vineyards, orchards and the waters of Lake Chelan.

In addition to the century ride, participants can choose from three other routes.

The Cycle di Vino route offers a 30-mile ride through Chelan’s wine country designed for cyclists seeking a more relaxed pace. The Lake Loop is a 45-mile route that circles Lake Chelan and provides views from both shores. Riders seeking a moderate challenge can opt for the Metric Century, a 60-plus-mile course geared toward intermediate to advanced cyclists.

All routes include a ferry ride across Lake Chelan, a distinctive feature of the event.

After finishing their rides, participants and spectators are invited to attend Party in the Park, a post-ride celebration scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. at Riverwalk Park. The gathering will include a beer and wine garden, food vendors and local businesses offering treats and giveaways.

“Cycle Chelan has always been about bringing people together through cycling and community,” said Hailey Allen, president of the Lake Chelan Rotary Club. “Every rider who participates helps support scholarships for local students, which makes the event especially meaningful for our community.”

Cycle Chelan is one of the club’s largest annual fundraisers. Proceeds support scholarships for graduating seniors at Chelan High School and Manson High School.

With registration numbers already trending upward, organizers encourage riders to sign up early to secure a spot in the event.

Registration is available at cyclechelan.org.
