WENATCHEE — On June 20, Wenatchee’s Numerica Performing Arts Center will host the inaugural performance of Wenatchee LIVE!, a variety show that will feature comedy, music, and a host of other talents.
Inspired by classic TV variety shows, this funny and heartwarming revue is a love letter to our community, celebrating the best days of Wenatchee summers. Host Adam Eagle and the Wenatchee LIVE! ensemble are presenting a vibrant bouquet of local talent.
Musical headliners The Welter Brothers, known primarily for their folksy reimagining of familiar sounds and their deep historical connection to music that’s been handed down through the generations, are a local treasure. Corban and Jackson bring an energy that only a stomp box, guitar, mandolin and banjo can muster. Expect hats, harmonies, roots music and probably even a little whistling.
They’ll be appearing alongside other familiar faces from the valley's dynamic theater, music, and art scenes, although co-writers and producers Adam Eagle (comedian and performer), Holly Thorpe (Lit Mic host and poet), and Lauren Loebsack (performer and board member of Together for Youth, Community Foundation) haven’t given away who else is performing yet.
What they have let on is how excited they are for what they have in store. So besides music and comedy, what do they have? So far we’ve been promised pies in faces, hand puppets, and maybe some PG-13 level goofiness as well, so while it may not be suitable for the youngest audiences, you’re probably safe to bring your kids.
Wenatchee LIVE! Is happening one night only at the PAC on Friday, June 20, with tickets still available online or at the PAC box office for $20. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30.
