MANSON – A heartwarming new character is making a splash in Manson—both on the page and in the community.
Manny the Moose Finds Manson, a forthcoming children’s book, introduces young readers to Manny, a brave orphaned moose who swims across Lake Chelan in search of connection. His journey leads him to the town of Manson, where he’s welcomed by quirky quail families and supportive new friends.
The story, crafted with warmth and whimsy, is more than an adventure. It carries themes of courage, belonging, and the beauty of community—values deeply rooted in the Manson spirit.
“Manny represents the spirit of Manson—welcoming, adventurous, and full of heart,” said Thyra “Timi” Starkweather, Executive Director of the Manson Chamber of Commerce. “We’re thrilled to introduce this character not just through story, but as a community mascot that brings families together.”
Beyond the book’s pages, Manny will serve as a new mascot for the Manson community, with plans for events, photo ops, and collaborations that bring the character to life.
Stay tuned for announcements about the book’s official release and upcoming Manny-themed festivities designed to bring families together and celebrate the story’s message of kindness and connection.
