WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee School District has appointed Donna Moser as interim principal of Wenatchee High School, effective July 1.

Moser will step into the position following the departure of current principal Eric Anderson, who has accepted a new role as the district’s Executive Director of Learning, Teaching, and Schools.

“We are confident that Donna Moser's proven leadership and dedication to Wenatchee High School make her the ideal candidate to serve as Interim Principal,” Superintendent Kory Kalahar said in a statement. “Her established relationships and comprehensive understanding of the school community will ensure a smooth transition and continued success for WHS.”

Moser has served as assistant principal at WHS since 2011. Her responsibilities have included student and staff relations, curriculum oversight, coordination of state testing, and implementation of student support programs. Prior to her role at the high school, she held administrative and teaching positions at Pioneer Middle School.

During her time at WHS, Moser has helped cultivate a positive school climate, supported teacher development, and worked to strengthen student academic and extracurricular opportunities, according to the district.

She holds a principal certificate from Washington State University, a Master of Education from City University, a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Eastern Washington University, and an elementary education certification from Central Washington University.

The district described Moser as having “a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the students, parents, and staff of Wenatchee High School.”
