Posted

MANSON - The Manson School Board will hold a public hearing on a proposed shift to a four-day student week on Monday, April 28, at 4:30 p.m. in the Manson Elementary School Library. The hearing will take place prior to the board’s regularly scheduled meeting.

The proposed change falls under the Economy and Efficiency Waiver, which allows districts to reduce the number of instructional days while maintaining educational standards.

Public participation is encouraged. Comments will be accepted in person or in writing; remote comments will not be accepted via Zoom. Written comments must be submitted to Kari Desser at kdesser@manson.org by 3 p.m. on April 28.

The district will provide a Spanish interpreter. English speakers will be allotted three minutes for public comment, while Spanish speakers will be given seven minutes to allow time for interpretation. Only one comment per person is permitted. Signage, banners and displays are prohibited inside the library. The hearing will conclude when the final public comment has been made.

The school board will not respond to comments or questions during the hearing. A full board meeting agenda is available online.
