MANSON — After nearly a year of discussions about the community’s future, the Manson One Voice Coalition will host two final forums in September to present a long-term vision shaped by local residents.
The forums, scheduled for Sept. 11 and Sept. 12 at the Manson Grange Hall, will mark the conclusion of a nine-month process that included six community gatherings facilitated by professional consultant Dan Ernissee.
“Join us as we conclude a remarkable year of Community Forums dedicated to shaping the future of Manson,” the coalition said in its announcement. “Over the past 9 months, the Manson One Voice Coalition has hosted six forums, gathering ideas, hopes, and concerns from residents across our community. With the help of professional consultant Dan Ernissee, we've captured a vision of what Manson could look like in 5, 10, and 20 years. Now, it is time to bring it all together.”
Organizers said the effort was supported by a grant from the Chelan Douglas Port Authority and overseen by the Manson Chamber of Commerce. The initiative has collected community input on priorities such as economic development, recreation, infrastructure, and preserving the town’s small-community character.
“This visioning process has been a vital part of defining who we are and where we’re headed,” the coalition stated. “As the grateful recipient of a grant provided by the Chelan Douglas Port Authority, the Manson Chamber of Commerce is proud to have overseen this project and looks forward to continuing the conversation. Let’s shape the future together.”
The coalition said the forums will give residents an opportunity to reflect on the plan and provide feedback on next steps. “Come hear what your neighbors have shared, reflect on the possibilities, and help guide the next steps. The vision that has been created will guide the future of Manson. This is proof that your voice truly matters.”
The wrap-up sessions will be held at the Manson Grange Hall: an evening session on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., and a morning session on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 8 to 10 a.m.
