CHELAN — The Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation and Hospital Guild B have awarded funding to support new equipment for the Cardiac Rehabilitation section of the Physical Therapy Department at Lake Chelan Health.
The funding is part of a collaborative effort to enhance services for patients undergoing cardiac rehabilitation following events such as heart attacks, surgeries, or other heart-related conditions.
Representatives from both organizations recently gathered with Physical Therapy staff to mark the contribution. Present were Marilyn Shoulders and Mary Lou Schoolcraft from Guild B; Alex Vanderholm, Phyllis Gleasman, and Susan Fisher from the Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation; Linda Parker, a board member of the foundation; and staff members Aleasha England, Joselyn Rich, and Sydney Brownlee, the department’s newest physical therapist.
The Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation works to enhance healthcare services in the Chelan Valley through fundraising and community support. Hospital Guild B, a volunteer-led organization, has a longstanding history of providing financial support for Lake Chelan Health through its fundraising events and philanthropic contributions.
Both organizations emphasized their shared commitment to improving patient care outcomes and strengthening the hospital’s rehabilitation capabilities.
The funding will go toward the purchase of specialized equipment that assists patients in recovering strength and endurance following cardiac events, helping them return to daily life with greater confidence and safety.
