Lake Chelan Chamber issues warning about Winterfest email scam

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce warned Friday morning that a false email is being circulated about the chamber’s Winterfest email list.

The email offers “an exclusive opportunity to acquire the attendee list for Lake Chelan Winterfest 2025.”

The scam email states that the list is available at a discounted rate for early access.

However, Chamber Executive Director Mike Steele said this is a false claim, as the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce does not share its email lists.

“We have had several members email us this morning concerning a potential scam,” Steele said. “An email is being circulated about the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Winterfest email list.”

“We do not sell or share any of our email lists,” he said. “If you have received an email asking about this, please disregard. It is not from us and no one else has access to our email lists.”
