INVITATION TO BID CHELAN COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT EIGHT PROJECT: ROOF REPLACEMENT This notice constitutes an Invitation to submit a sealed bid for a roof reconstruction. Bids will be accepted at the following District address, until 4:00 p.m. PST: Chelan County Fire District Eight, PO Box 517 Entiat, WA 98822. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud on Saturday, April 13. Any and all bids received after 4:00 p.m. April 12 will not be accepted, whether hand-delivered or regardless of postmark. This Invitation to Bid applies to the following project: Roof Replacement at District Property located at 4674 Entiat River Road, Entiat, WA 98222 A single contract bid including general, mechanical, electrical, civil, landscaping and specialty contracts shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and award the bid that best meets the needs of the District. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cash or cashiers check made payable to Chelan County Fire District Eight or a sum of not less than 5% of the bid. The bid, the bid security and other required documents shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the District Fire Chief, Adam Jones. Bids SHALL be clearly marked “BID – ROOF REPLACEMENT ”. Bids sent by mail shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope with the notation “SEALED BID ENCLOSED” on the face thereof. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the “Instructions to Bidders,” which is available upon request to Fire Chief Adam Jones at adamj@ccfd8.org. The District hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into, pursuant to this advertisement, minority and women-owned business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to the invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award. The State Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this project. Questions should be forwarded via email to Fire Chief Adam Jones at adamj@ccfd8.org. Note: Telephone enquiries will not be accepted. Bid documents will be available starting March 14, 2025. The successful bidder shall enter into a contract in accordance with the bid and shall furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount. All bid proposals shall be deemed to be offers to enter into a contract and shall be irrevocable for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of the bids. This notice shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the District at least 13 days before the bid deadline. If no bid is received pursuant to this first call, the Commissioners may re-advertise or enter into a contract without a further call for bids.
