CHELAN — Heritage Heights Senior Living will host a ribbon cutting and grand reopening Aug. 20 to celebrate the completion of a multi-million-dollar renovation and expansion that adds memory care and end-of-life services for residents.
The project, which has been in progress for several months, also included upgrades to the kitchen, dining area, common spaces, and resident rooms. Heritage Heights Board Chair Melissa Robins said the work was possible because of broad community and government support.
“We are so thankful to our local community, the City of Chelan, Chelan County, and both Washington State and Federal partners for their incredible generosity,” Robins said. “Because of that support, we’ve been able to update aging systems and bring our building up to code, which creates a safer and more comfortable home for the seniors we care for.”
U.S. Rep. Kim Schrier met with the Heritage Heights board and Executive Director at the Chelan Chamber of Commerce on July 28 ahead of the reopening. She congratulated the organization on the upgrades and noted that the expanded services will allow more families to visit loved ones without traveling out of the area. Schrier also discussed pending Medicaid changes, funding options, and pledged continued collaboration.
The ribbon cutting will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. at Heritage Heights, 505 E. Highland Ave., and will include refreshments and tours of the updated facility.
