CHELAN – Lake Chelan Health Guild B recently presented two donations to Lake Chelan Health Hospital.
Lake Chelan Health Guild B works to support the greater Chelan community and healthcare providers by raising funds from private donors and members to purchase major medical equipment and address specific hospital needs.
Mary Lou Schoolcraft, President of Lake Chelan Health Guild B, presented checks from recent fundraising events.
“I’m honored to present the results of two recent fundraising events organized by our Guild,” Schoolcraft said.
“Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, generous donors, and the ongoing support of the hospital, these events were a great success in supporting both the hospital and the wider community,” Schoolcraft said. “This success highlights what we can achieve when we work together.”
The first event, Paint the Town Pink was held in October and raised $20,000. The theme for the Paint the Town Pink event was “Measure Up, Pressure Down”.
“This success was made possible by the incredible teamwork between our Guild and the generosity of our community sponsors and donors,” she said. “The funds raised will go toward standardizing blood pressure machines, directly benefiting patients and improving the care that is provided.”
The second event, the Karen Collins Estate Sale, raised $6,200. Collins was an honorary Guild member. Collins’ family asked the Guild to hold her estate sale as a way to recognize her commitment to the Guild and support of the hospital.
The event was co-led with Vita Monteleone from the Foundation.
“Vita played a crucial role in extending our reach and ensuring a smooth-running event,” Schoolcraft said.
Funds from the estate sale will go towards a new EKG machine for the clinic as their current machine recently failed.
“We are excited about the positive changes these contributions will bring to the hospital and the lives of those who need it most,” she said. “The enthusiasm and generosity we’ve seen reflect the strength of our community and our shared commitment to making a lasting impact.”
The funds raised from the events are part of a larger effort to improve healthcare and support the community, Schoolcraft said.
“We are proud to be part of this important work and look forward to achieving even greater things together,” she said.
