WENATCHEE — A downtown storefront that stood vacant during last year's Downtown Possibilities Tour is now home to Timberline Brewing, where this year's tour will conclude July 22 with a networking reception highlighting the next generation of available commercial spaces.
The annual Downtown Possibilities Tour, hosted by the Wenatchee Downtown Association, offers entrepreneurs, prospective business owners, investors and community members an opportunity to tour available storefronts throughout Historic Downtown Wenatchee while meeting property owners and learning about opportunities to open or expand businesses.
The free event is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 22. Sponsored by the Chelan-Douglas Regional Port Authority, the tour is designed to connect prospective tenants with vacant commercial spaces while showcasing continued investment and redevelopment in the city's downtown core.
This year's reception venue illustrates the tour's purpose. Timberline Brewing was among the vacant spaces featured during last year's tour and has since been transformed into one of downtown's newest businesses. Organizers say the change demonstrates how the event can help connect entrepreneurs with available properties and encourage continued investment in the district.
"Downtown Wenatchee is as lively and energetic as it has been in the nine years since I moved back," Wenatchee Downtown Association Board President Josh Thaut said in a news release. "Dynamic new businesses, legacy storefronts, and new residents is making for a very exciting time in the heart of our city."
Following the walking tour, participants will gather at Timberline Brewing for a networking reception with complimentary food and beverages. Organizers say the reception gives attendees an opportunity to continue conversations with property owners, business leaders and fellow entrepreneurs after visiting the available spaces.
Advance registration is encouraged. Registered participants will receive the event's meeting location, tour details and updates before the tour. Registration is available at: https://downtownwenatchee.org/possibilities-tour
The Wenatchee Downtown Association said the annual event is intended to highlight opportunities for new investment while supporting the continued growth and vitality of Historic Downtown Wenatchee.
