WENATCHEE — There will be a 3-hour event presented by Lilies of the Valley in honor of Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia Decker on June 25 from 3:30–6:30 p.m. at the Town Toyota Center.
The entire community is invited to come and decorate a flower cup to take home filled with repurposed flowers from the memorial service that was held at Rocky Reach Park on June 20. Those who were not able to attend the memorial can express their sympathy through creativity and fellowship with the community.
The event is being called the “Princess Repurpose Party,” since “princess” is what Whitney Decker called her precious daughters.
Lilies of the Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that repurposes flowers from any occasion that calls for them — from weddings to memorials and everything in between — giving them a second life and a chance to bring even more joy into the world. A dedicated team of volunteers thoughtfully arranges repurposed flowers into beautiful bouquets. These are then delivered to those most in need, such as hospitals, nursing homes, or, in this instance, community members seeking solace after a traumatic event can take them home.
You can find them online at liliesofthevalley.org or by phone at 509-312-0435.
