CHELAN — Chelan Valley Indivisible, a local civic group formed in 2025, has scheduled a rally March 28 at Peace Park in Chelan.
The event is planned from noon to 2 p.m. at the park located at the corner of Johnson Avenue and Columbia Street.
Chelan Valley Indivisible began after several Chelan-area residents organized a community meeting at the Chelan Public Library to discuss concerns about federal government direction and ways residents could express support for the Constitution and the rule of law, the group said.
The organization later formed as an affiliate of the national Indivisible movement and has since held monthly meetings at the Ruby Theatre in Chelan.
According to the group, activities have included hosting speakers on issues affecting the Chelan Valley, including immigrants’ rights, health care funding, local schools and conservation of the Chelan Butte area. Members have also participated in national demonstrations, including the July 17 Good Trouble Peace Rally and the Oct. 18 No Kings Rally, the organization said.
The group reports having more than 200 members from the Chelan area. Membership is free, and meetings are open to community members interested in participating.
Additional information about the organization and upcoming events is available through its website at www.chelangoodtrouble.com.
