CHELAN — The Chelan Valley Housing Trust announced March 17 that Executive Director Scott Meyers has resigned, marking a leadership transition for the nonprofit as it continues its work to expand affordable housing in the valley.
Meyers led the organization during a period of continued growth, with a focus on increasing access to housing for local residents and strengthening partnerships across the community.
“Scott brought energy, integrity, and genuine heart to his role,” the organization said in a news release. “Under his leadership, the Housing Trust continued to build on its mission — ensuring that the people who make this valley thrive, our teachers, farmworkers, first responders, healthcare workers, and longtime residents, have a real place in it.”
Board Chair Dave Rogge said Meyers’ impact will carry forward as the organization enters its next phase.
“We are incredibly grateful for everything Scott has contributed,” Rogge said. “He leaves this organization stronger, more connected, and well-positioned for the future. We wish him every success in his next chapter.”
The Chelan Valley Housing Trust focuses on developing and preserving affordable housing for working residents in the greater Chelan Valley, where rising home prices and limited rental availability have made it increasingly difficult for many to remain in the community.
In its announcement, the organization emphasized that housing challenges in the region extend beyond affordability alone, touching on stability and long-term community connection.
A hiring committee has been formed and has begun the search for the organization’s next executive director. The organization described the role as an opportunity for someone committed to community, equity and the long-term future of the Chelan Valley.
