CASHMERE — Family, friends and community members gathered on Friday, June 5 to celebrate the Cashmere High School Class of 2026 as graduates received their diplomas and marked the conclusion of their high school careers.
The commencement ceremony recognized a class distinguished by academic achievement, leadership, athletics, service and involvement throughout the school community. Graduates were encouraged to reflect on the accomplishments that brought them to graduation day while looking ahead to the opportunities and challenges that await beyond high school.
Leading the class academically were valedictorians Hadley Westlund, Quinn Pace, Wyatt Brown and Thomas Bergren. Honors also went to salutatorian Jada Wood.
As graduates crossed the stage to receive their diplomas and turned their tassels, the ceremony celebrated years of hard work and perseverance while marking the beginning of new journeys in higher education, the workforce, military service and other pursuits.
The Class of 2026 leaves a district that has become known for doing more with less. In a community of fewer than 4,000 residents, Cashmere schools continue to produce top scholars, accomplished athletes, skilled musicians and student leaders at a level that rivals districts many times their size.
They now join generations of Cashmere graduates who have carried the lessons and connections formed in the valley into communities across Washington and beyond.
