LAKE WENATCHEE— The Cascade Medical Foundation's annual golf tournament raised approximately $45,000 for local healthcare initiatives.

The Marson and Marson Cascade Golf Classic, held on June 17 at Kahler Mountain Club near Lake Wenatchee, drew numerous participants despite windy conditions. Now in its eighth year under title sponsor Marson and Marson Lumber, the event is the foundation's largest annual fundraiser.

“The golf tournament was an absolute blast, and fundraising results from the tournament exceeded expectations, thanks to the generosity of both our incredible sponsors and enthusiastic and competitive participants,” said Rich Adamson, the co-chair of the Foundation’s golf committee.

The tournament featured both Low Net and Low Gross categories, with teams led by Kyle Carey and Jack Louws taking first place in their respective divisions. Individual contests included putting, chipping, and closest-to-the-pin challenges.

Over 50 volunteers assisted with the event, including musical performances by the Leavenworth Alphorns and local musician Jacob Simms.

Since its inception in 1992, the Cascade Medical Foundation has raised more than $1.9 million to support healthcare services in the community. The foundation works to enhance Cascade Medical's ability to deliver quality healthcare to the local area.

Organizers noted that while final numbers are still being tallied, the preliminary net profit from the tournament is estimated at $45,000. These funds will contribute to the foundation's current healthcare campaign, though specific allocation details were not immediately available.

Over 40 sponsors supported the event, including returning major sponsors Louws Truss, Dan's Food Market, Icicle Ridge Winery, and Squirrel Tree Resort.
