Authors of “Drink Your Garden” to host Happier Hour event in Leavenworth

LEAVENWORTH — Belinda Kelly and Venise Cunningham, authors of the newly released cocktail cookbook Drink Your Garden, will host a special “Happier Hour” event on Saturday, May 10, at Blue Spirits Distilling Tasting Room & Restaurant in Leavenworth.

The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and will feature cocktail specials inspired by the book, a botanical garnish bar, live music from Tony Regan, and author signings. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the authors, sample recipes, and purchase signed copies of the book.

Released on March 25 by Countryman Press, Drink Your Garden: Recipes, Stories, and Tips from the Simple Goodness Cocktail Farm offers more than 100 recipes for garden-fresh cocktails and mocktails. It also includes practical tips for infusion, sustainable techniques, and seasonal ingredient pairings.

According to promotional materials, the book is “a vibrant guide to mixing drinks with seasonal ingredients—no green thumb required.”
