WINTHROP — Methow Arts Alliance will launch its new Arts in the Wild outdoor concert series June 13 with a performance by Los Angeles-based cellist Karen Hall at Sunny M Ranch near Winthrop.

The series, created in partnership with local businesses and organizations across Okanogan County, is designed to present performances in outdoor settings throughout the region. The opening event, “Delusions & Grandeur with Karen Hall,” is presented in partnership with Okanogan Land Trust.

According to Methow Arts, Hall’s performance combines classical music, performance art and comedy. The program includes Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Suite No. 1 in G Major” alongside original comedic works developed through Hall’s “Idiot classes,” which explore themes of identity, expectation and success.

Hall has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl and has appeared as a cellist on the television series “Glee.” She has also collaborated with artists including Shawn Mendes and Yoshiki and serves as a Teaching Artist in Residency with The Music Center Los Angeles.

The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. June 13 at Sunny M Ranch in Winthrop. Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for youth.

Organizers said the event will be held outdoors and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, along with food and beverages. Parking will be available at the Winthrop National Fish Hatchery, followed by a quarter-mile walk to the performance site. Dogs will not be permitted.

Methow Arts, founded in 1983 and based in Twisp, provides arts education, public art and community performances throughout Okanogan County.
